Welcome Canapés

Jamaican Mini Wraps (Beef & Vegetarian), Authentic Jamaican Mini Patties, and Fresh Mixed Green Salad.

Main Course – Authentic Jamaican BBQ

Signature Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Escovitch Fish, Grilled Sausages, Rice & Peas, Fried Plantains, Jamaican Festival (traditional sweet fried dumplings), and a selection of Caribbean sauces.

Dessert

Traditional Jamaican Pudding, Rum & Raisin Ice Cream, and Fresh Seasonal Fruit Salad.

Drinks

A selection of Jamaican and international alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase throughout the evening, including Red Stripe Jamaican Beer, Jamaican Rum Punch, Red, White & Rosé Wines, Jamaican Ginger Beer, Sorrel Juice, and Mineral Water.

Your Ticket Includes

The authentic Jamaican BBQ dinner, exclusive access to the UN Beach Club (CHF 5 entrance fee included), networking with alumni from leading international universities and business schools, and professional event photography.

For Families

Children under 12 attend free of charge but must be registered individually so that we can account for them for catering and venue purposes.

When registering your child, please select one of the following:

Child – Babysitting Required (16:00–19:00)

Child – No Babysitting Required

Complimentary babysitting at the rooftop is available from 16:00 to 19:00 for registered children. After 19:00, children remain under the responsibility of their parent(s) or guardian(s).

Provide the number and names of your children at registration. Up to three babysitters on hand based on demand; credentials available upon request.

Please indicate any dietary requirements or allergies when registering your child.

Please Note

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Registration and payment are available exclusively online via the OCCG registration platform.

Weather contingency: as this is an outdoor event, the organisers reserve the right to cancel at their sole discretion, including at short notice, in the event of severe weather. Cancellations will not be rescheduled and registration fees are non-refundable.

This event will bring together alumni from 25+ partner alumni clubs, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, Cornell, Brown, Wharton, Chicago Booth, London Business School (LBS), INSEAD, IMD, London School of Economics (LSE), HEC Paris, HEC Montréal, HEC Lausanne, ESADE, McGill University and Imperial College.

We are also delighted to welcome members of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce (BSCC) and the Swiss Association of MBAs (SAMBA), alongside other partner organisations. Our apologies in advance for any inadvertent omissions.

Transportation & Parking

Public Transport (Recommended)

Bus 1, 25, or F to the Jardin Botanique stop; the Léman Express train to Gare de Genève-Sécheron (about a 7-minute walk); or Tram 15 to Nations, then walk downhill (about 12 minutes). Check schedules via TPG.ch or the TPG mobile app for real-time information.

By Bike or Foot

The lakeside route is ideal for walking or biking. Bike racks are available near the beach entrance.

Parking (Very Limited)

There is very limited dedicated parking at the venue. The nearest public options are Parking Sécheron (Rue Kazem-Radjavi 20, about a 7-minute walk) and Parking Nations (Rue de Varembé 3, about a 15-minute walk). Street parking is also available along Rue de Lausanne and nearby side streets, mostly in blue zones with a 90-minute maximum during day hours and free evenings and weekends.

Tip: public transport, biking, or ride-sharing is strongly recommended, especially on warm evenings when lakeside traffic and parking can be tight.

CERN Croquet Day | 2 September 2026 (2 Sep 2026)

The Club is pleased to confirm that the CERN Croquet Club will host us on its Prévessin lawns on Wednesday 2 Sept 2026.

The lawns are situated at CERN, Site de Prévessin. They are reachable by car via the D35 from Ferney-Voltaire towards Saint-Genis or, immediately after the border, via the route de Meyrin and then the C11 to the very end.

Public transport is also available: bus 66 departs Geneva Airport takes about an hour, and leaves a seven-minute walk to the lawns though if you call, someone could collect you from the gate by car.

From 15:00 a welcome refreshment will be served; at about 18:00 the barbecue will be lit. Please bring your own food—utensils, plates, glasses and washing-up facilities are provided, and the day is family-friendly.

Drinks at very reasonable prices will be on self-service from the club bar; kindly record your consumption and settle with Ian Gordon, or feel free to bring your own refreshments.

For site access, Ian Gordon will lodge day passes with the CERN guards.

To that end he must receive, by Sunday 30th, the name, forename, nationality, date of birth and where appropriate, vehicle registration of each attendee. It is better to register a few extra names than to risk anyone being turned away at on the day, so please advise Ian of any change of plan. The Club is pleased to offer free registration to play o the international Swiss Croquet lawns.

Our summer calendar would not be complete without an evening by the lake. We are delighted to invite you to September's Monthly Drinks on Thursday, 10 September 2026, from 18:30 to 21:30, at the iconic La Potinière Genève, Jardin Anglais, 1204 Genève.

A Setting Made for Summer Evenings

Perched on the promenade facing Lake Geneva, La Potinière pairs crisp contemporary design with one of the city's most mesmerising panoramas: sailboats gliding past, indigo foothills beyond, and the Jet d'Eau catching the last glow of sunset. Whether you settle into a linen-draped banquette indoors or claim a teak table on the terrace, the setting is perfectly arranged for an evening of unhurried conversation — old friendships deepened, new ones kindled, and Oxbridge stories traded as dusk settles over the water.

An Evening to Savour

To make the night a little more convivial, we invite each guest to contribute CHF 15, which will allow us to offer food throughout the evening. A small gesture, we hope, that adds to the pleasure of the occasion.

Practicalities

Dress code: Smart casual — think "after-office garden party." A light layer is recommended; the lake breeze has a way of making itself known.

Getting there: Buses 2, 6, and E stop at Rive, a short five-minute stroll away. For those arriving by car, the Quai Gustave-Ador public car park is directly opposite.

We are delighted to invite you to one of our most cherished traditions, the Freshers' Welcome, an annual gathering that celebrates the students preparing to matriculate at Oxford and Cambridge in 2026, as well as our graduates stepping into the next chapter of their lives, and brings together alumni, current members, and new joiners of the Oxford and Cambridge Club of Geneva.

Venue: Société de Lecture

We are especially pleased to host the evening at the Société de Lecture, one of Geneva's most storied institutions. Founded in April 1818 by the botanist Augustin-Pyramus de Candolle together with a group of notable Geneva scholars, the Société occupies an 18th-century mansion in the heart of Geneva's historic centre that has housed its library and gatherings for over two centuries. It is a fitting setting for an evening that itself bridges generations, past and present, of Oxford and Cambridge in Geneva.

The gathering carries particular significance this year as we welcome not only our incoming Freshers but also our graduates, marking both the beginning of a new academic journey and the culmination of one already completed. It is a moment for the Club to stand alongside its members at both ends of the Oxbridge experience, celebrating ambition on one side and achievement on the other.

The programme will open with a welcome address from the Club, setting the tone for an evening centred on connection and continuity across generations of Oxford and Cambridge alumni in Geneva. This will be followed by an informal reception, offering a convivial setting for conversation and community-building.

It will be a chance for newcomers to learn from those who came before them, for graduates to be recognised among peers who understand the milestone they have just reached, and for alumni more broadly to reconnect while welcoming the next generation into our shared tradition.

Practicalities

Getting there:

The Lacustre is located at Quai Jean-Pascal Delamuraz 1, 1006 Lausanne, close to Ouchy. The venue is easily accessible by public transport, including the M2 metro to Ouchy-Olympique, followed by a short walk along the lakeside. Public parking is also available in the Ouchy area.
