The evening will begin with apéritif drinks at 19:00, followed by a gourmet dinner on the club’s scenic terrace. Our summer calendar would not be complete without an evening by the lake. We are delighted to invite you to June's Monthly Drinks on Thursday, 9 July 2026, from 18:30 to 21:30, at the iconic La Potinière Genève, Jardin Anglais, 1204 Genève.

A Setting Made for Summer Evenings

Perched on the promenade facing Lake Geneva, La Potinière pairs crisp contemporary design with one of the city's most mesmerising panoramas: sailboats gliding past, indigo foothills beyond, and the Jet d'Eau catching the last glow of sunset. Whether you settle into a linen-draped banquette indoors or claim a teak table on the terrace, the setting is perfectly arranged for an evening of unhurried conversation — old friendships deepened, new ones kindled, and Oxbridge stories traded as dusk settles over the water.

An Evening to Savour

To make the night a little more convivial, we invite each guest to contribute CHF 15, which will allow us to offer food throughout the evening. A small gesture, we hope, that adds to the pleasure of the occasion.

Practicalities

Dress code: Smart casual — think "after-office garden party." A light layer is recommended; the lake breeze has a way of making itself known.

Getting there: Buses 2, 6, and E stop at Rive, a short five-minute stroll away. For those arriving by car, the Quai Gustave-Ador public car park is directly opposite.

A Setting Made for Lausanne Summer Evenings

Set on the Ouchy waterfront, The Lacustre offers one of Lausanne’s most attractive lakeside settings, with sweeping views over Lake Geneva and towards the mountains beyond. With its relaxed terrace atmosphere and privileged position by the water, it is an ideal venue for an informal Oxbridge gathering as the longer evenings return.

Whether you are based in Lausanne, Geneva, or elsewhere in Suisse romande, you will be perfectly placed to enjoy conversation, reconnect with old friends, and meet new members in a setting that captures the best of Lausanne by the lake.

What’s Included

Your ticket includes a generous spread of snacks, wood‑fired pizzas and other shared dishes to enjoy together.

Beverages (soft drinks, beer, wine and cocktails) are payable separately at the bar.

The Lacustre offers a relaxed lakeside setting and a menu built around fresh, seasonal, locally sourced ingredients - think vibrant small plates and authentic wood‑oven pizzas with blistered crusts and handpicked toppings. It’s the perfect spot for a laid‑back evening of good food, great conversation and views by the water.

The Lacustre is located at Quai Jean-Pascal Delamuraz 1, 1006 Lausanne, close to Ouchy. The venue is easily accessible by public transport, including the M2 metro to Ouchy-Olympique, followed by a short walk along the lakeside. Public parking is also available in the Ouchy area.
